Youth Basketball Offensive Play 4 - "Baseline Stack 2"


Youth Basketball Offensive Play 4 is designed to create an easy scoring opportunity in a baseline out-of-bounds situation. This is a very simple play to teach, learn and execute!

The play utilizes multiple passes, a double screen, and quick cutting to get an open jump-shot for your best shooter.

This is a great play that will work well at any level of competition. The play can also be modified to better suit the players’ skill and experience levels.

If you're looking for a play that will quickly and easily create an open jump-shot - then Youth Basketball Offensive Play 4 is the play to use!

In order to run this play effectively, players must first understand the fundamentals of basketball. Once players can perform the offensive fundamentals properly, then inbound plays can be incorporated into their game.

Youth Basketball Offensive Play 4 - "Baseline Stack 2"


To help you understand the play, please follow the key below.

  • 1 = Point Guard

  • 2 = Wing

  • 3 = Wing

  • 4 = Post

  • 5 = Post

  • Black Dotted Arrow = Pass

  • Black Straight Arrow = Player Movement

  • 1 will be the inbound passer. They will start the play by slapping the ball and yelling "Go".

  • The players will start in a stack formation on the free throw lane line.

  • 3 will move out to the 3-point line.

  • 5 will make a fake toward the basket and then move outside of the 3-point line.

  • 1 will pass the ball to 3.

  • 3 will pass the ball to 5.

  • As this is happening 2 and 4 will move across the lane and set a double screen for 1.

  • After passing the ball to 3, 1 will cut through the lane and use the double screen to get open for a pass from 5.

  • 5 will pass the ball to 1 for a jump shot from the wing.
