Great Basketball Conditioning Drill by: Joe Waters - webmaster
Thanks for the great basketball drill Nicole.
You've done such a great job explaining this drill, but I would like to add one variation that coaches can use.
This is a conditioning drill, and one of the most effective ones I've ever used. However, if you want to change it up a bit, simply have your players dribble a basketball while running their laps.
The drill would run in the same exact manner, the only difference would be that each player would have a basketball with them. This is an excellent way for them to practice their dribbling, both right and left handed, while getting their conditioning in.
Just be sure that the players have proper spacing between them so they're not dribbling the basketball off each other's feet.
Also, make sure your players are dribbling with their heads up and that you have them switch hands every 30 - 60 seconds.
Thanks again for the excellent basketball drill Nicole!
