Larry Bird

I vote for Larry Bird.

(1) I grew up in Indiana.

(2) Everyone said that he couldn't run, and he couldn't jump.

(3) But he had eyes in the back of his head.

(4) Probably the most unselfish basketball star to ever play the game (Oscar Robertson is a close second on that score. Saw him play in high school.)

I agree 100%...
by: Joe Waters

I grew up watching Larry Bird and Magic Johnson battle year after year. They both played the game to win and to make their teammates better players. That's why they were so successful.

I would agree with you Jim, Larry Bird is the greatest players in my honest opinion. Mainly because he was able to do everything on the court in spite of not being able to run or jump that well.

He was the ultimate team player that loved his teammates and the game of basketball.

I never saw Oscar Robertson play...but I wish I had.
