How far is the foul line from the back of the rim in eighth grade basketball?

Foul Line Distance...

Thanks for the basketball question on foul line distance.

The free throw line is 15 feet from the backboard. This is the official distance. Some coaches will make this distance shorter for younger basketball players; however, by 8th grade you should be using the official distance.
