Driveway Basketball

As a parent, I know that it is tempting to let your child win at driveway basketball every time.

You wouldn't want them to feel bad about themselves, would you? Of course not!

However, letting them get away with every move they try against you will not prepare them for real opponents and will not strengthen them for the experience of playing basketball in competition.

It is best to prepare your children for the real world by challenging them and rewarding them when they successfully overcome challenges and when you see their basketball skills evolve.

Let them know that trying their best is good enough and winning is not everything.
