OVER COMING PERFORMANCE ANXIETY

THROUGH VISUALIZATION (SEEING AND HEARING THE BASKETBALL GOING INTO THE CENTER OF THE HOOP), RELAXING THROUGH MEDITATIVE TYPE DEEP BREATHING. BREATH IN / HOLD FOR FOUR COUNTS / BREATH OUT AND HOLD FOR FOUR COUNTS.

VISUALIZATION AND RELAXATION BREATHING IS TIMED WITHIN EACH STYLES COORDINATION OF THE SEVEN FUNDAMENTAL STEPS OF SHOOTING. CONSISTENCY REQUIRES REGULAR DAILY PRACTICE.

SHOOTING FREE THROWS REQUIRES A QUIET MIND AND THIS CAN ONLY BE ACHIEVED IN PRACTICE. ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR FUNDAMENTALS DOWN AND KNOW HOW TO FOCUS AND CONCENTRATE IN THE NOW SKYS THE LIMIT.

TO BECOME A GREAT FREE THROW SHOOTER YOU MUST HAVE THE LONG TERM GOAL OF MAKING OVER 90% OF YOUR FREE THROWS IN PRACTICE MAINLY BECAUSE OF THE DROP OFF RATE. IN THE HISTORY OF THE NBA, OUT OF THOUSANDS OF PLAYERS, ONLY ABOUT 50 WERE ABLE TO SHOOTER OVER 85% FOR THEIR NBA CAREERS AT THE FREE THROW LINE.

THERE IS A WAY OF PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER. PUT A CONSISTENCE PRACTICE PLAN AND PRACTICE PROCEURES INTO EFFECT BY PRACTICING YOUR SHOOTING, SPECIALLY FREE THROW SHOOTING EVERYDAY. A BASKETBALL PLAYER NEEDS TO SHOOT 100 FREE THROWS A DAY AT A MINIMUM.
