Girl Basketball Players

Our junior high 7th grade basketball team has an A Team and a B Team . The A Team plays first and then the B Team.

Are the A Team girls who play in the first basketball game eligible to play in the B Team game?

Depends on your league rules...
by: Joe Waters - webmaster

This is a great basketball question Toni.

Whether or not the A Team basketball players are eligible to play in the B Team game depends on your league rules. Some leagues allow it, while others do not.

In my opinion, A Team players should play their game and then B Team players should play their game. If A Team players are allowed to play in both games, the players on the B Team will not get the chance to play and improve their basketball skills.

If the league allows these girls to play in both games, then I feel it is up to your coach to make the best decision for the team. Again, I feel these players should only play in one basketball game. However, if the B Team is short on players, the coach could allow some of the A Team players to participate as subs.

Hope this helps...best of luck with your season!
